Õ¬ÄÐÊÓƵ Partners with DeSales University
Õ¬ÄÐÊÓƵ is excited to announce its partnership with DeSales University to offer an online Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology (MS SLP). This innovative program aims to meet the growing demand for speech-language pathologists in various healthcare and educational settings.
DeSales University, a private Catholic institution located in Center Valley, Pennsylvania, serves approximately 3,000 students and is ranked #296 among National Universities by U.S. News & World Report. The MS SLP program is currently in candidate status with the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA ASHA), with full accreditation expected by March 2026. The program is set to launch its first online intake in Fall 2027.
The MS SLP program is designed for working professionals and requires a total of 68 credits, including five clinical practicums. Offered as a part-time online program, it accommodates students who do not need leveling credits. With three intakes each year and a total cost of $64,500, this program provides a flexible pathway for individuals pursuing careers in speech-language pathology.
Graduates of the program will have access to diverse career opportunities in schools, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and private practices. The demand for speech-language pathologists is projected to grow significantly over the next decade, with an estimated shortage of around 20%, particularly in underserved areas. This growing need highlights the crucial role of SLPs in addressing communication and swallowing disorders, especially in educational settings.
"We are proud to partner with DeSales University to launch this important program," said Steve Fireng, Global Chief Executive Officer of Õ¬ÄÐÊÓƵ. "This collaboration not only enhances educational opportunities for students but also contributes to addressing the significant demand for qualified speech-language pathologists in our communities."
