Colleen Sanders, RN, FNP-BCÂ
As a registered nurse (RN) and family nurse practitioner (FNP), Colleen spent 12 years in higher education teaching the next generation of entry-level professional nurses and nurse practitioners. While teaching and supporting programs on campus and online, Colleen learned how to solve the unique complexities that accompany educating healthcare professionals, especially in the distance format. She also maintains an active practice as an FNP which allows her to create current and relevant learning experiences for students. As an experienced educator and clinician, she understands that students and quality must be the focal point for programs to achieve great success.
Colleen received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University and Master of Science in Nursing from Columbia University in New York. She holds active licensure as a registered nurse and advanced practice nurse as well as ANCC FNP certification.Â
